Rare Tea Company
The company was founded in 2004, by Henrietta Lovell (known as the Tea Lady), to source and supply the world's best tea - direct from farmers and their tea gardens.
From humble beginnings with just a handful of devoted customers, Rare Tea now collaborates with many of the world's finest chefs, restaurants, bars and hotels from Noma to Claridge's.
Rare Tea has travelled the world in search of unique tea gardens and skilled men and woman who craft the finest tea – where each harvest captures the most delicious flavours that their corner of the world can offer.
By always sourcing for quality over price Rare Tea brings you the best tea possible; and by buying direct, the value of your tea goes into the farmers hands and not to middlemen.
Rare Tea support the 3 pillars of sustainability: environmental, economic and social. The teas are grown without pesticides and herbicides. No bags with bleaches, glues and micro-plastics that waste precious resources for single use.
"Where once we only had industrial granules, we now have fragrant coffee beans. Beside malt vinegar in cupboards across the country there is cider, sherry and aged balsamic. Where there was only vegetable oil the nation has embraced extra virgin olive. Now it's teas time."
